KVS envisions itself a world class organization in school education committed to continually empowering teachers to actualize inside out synergy in students and enable them to fulfill futuristic societal, national and global needs and aspirations

THE GENESIS OF THE KV:
Kendriya Vidyalaya Sulur, which is crowned with the title of the ModelSchoolin the state is deemed to be one of the first generation institutions of its kind in our country under KVS. It was established in 1981 under the able guidance of the founder Principal Smt. Naliniamma

IMPORTANT MILESTONES OF GROWTH:

1. 1981 – School started functioning.

2. Land for constructing new school building & staff quarters was transferred to KVS by AFS, Sulur.

3. 1983 - 10th first batch came out.

4. 1987 - 12th first batch came out.

5. 1992 – New School building inaugurated

6. 2003 – Master. Samir Biswas scored 475/500 in XII science stream

7. 2006 – Master. Akil Ravidas scored 473/500 in XII science stream

8. 2007 – Master. Vignesh scored 479/500 in X Std

9. 2007 – New Primary block of ten rooms inaugurated.

10. 2009 – Kumari. Adayash Dash scored 489/500 in X Std & secured III position in Chennai Region

11. 2009 – Master. Kaustubh Karkare scored 474/500 in XII science stream

12. 2010 - Master. Lijo Osten scored 474/500 in XII science stream

13. 2010 - Master. T.P.Dhanesh of class X is the All India Topper in Hindi.

14. 2011 - Kumari. Adyasha Dash scored 480/500 in XII Science stream.

15. 2012 - Kumari. Ashwini Petchiappan and Sabita Yadav scored 473/500 in XII Science stream.

CLASS ROOMS

The Vidyalaya is having 42 well furnished class rooms with necessary electrical fittings and provision for various technology aided learning items.

RESOURCE CENTRE
1. The Vidyalaya has well equipped and well maintain computer labs two for secondary and one for primary with broad band network.

2. The Vidyalaya has two Audio visual rooms with 2 LCD projectors and a Smart Board.

3. The Vidyalaya has well equipped Library with latest additions.

4. There are 6 different well equipped Labs out of which 3 are for Physics, Chemistry and Biology and remaining 3 for Computers.

ACTIVITY ROOM
The Vidyalaya has a well equipped Primary activity room to implement the new strategies of CMP Programme
